BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has digitized property documents and has now enabling property owners to check their draft e-khatas online. Approximately 22 lakh property documents have been uploaded online and property owners can access them on the BBMP’s official web portal.

Checking e-Account Online: To check your e-khatas online, follow these steps:

1. Visit  https://bbmpeaasthi.karnataka.gov.in/
2. Find your ward: Identify your ward name and number from your property tax receipt.
3. Access draft e-khatas: Once you visit your ward online, you’ll find a list of all draft e-khatas for that ward.
4. Search by Property ID: For the first time, an e-Property ID has been created, making it easier to search for property details.
5. Properties are listed alphabetically in a ward-wise list

The BBMP says it is constantly making effort to improve the consumers’ experience, simplifying the process, and making e-khatas accessible entirely online. This streamlined process eliminates the need to meet with corporation officials or staff, making the transaction faceless and contactless, it pointed out.
