MYSURU, BENGALURU: A family of four, including a couple and their two children, which had gone on a package tour to Kulu-Manali in Himachal Pradesh, is said to be missing since Sunday. Relatives say the last they heard from the family was on Sunday.

Srinidhi, his wife and two children, Navya and Veer, had left Mysuru last Thursday. They had last informed their relatives on Sunday a red alert had been sounded as it was raining heavily and that they were safe in their room. Since then, the relatives have no information about the family.

The anxious relatives have appealed to the authorities concerned to trace the family members, but they have no information about the tour organiser. It is said that more than 50 people from the state are part of the group which had gone on the package tour.

A group of doctors from Bengaluru, who are stuck in Leh, have appealed to the government to be rescued.

Meanwhile, a group of doctors from Bengaluru are stuck in Lakadh due to heavy snowfall, landslides and highways being cut off. Also, there have been no flights since the last two days and passengers are stuck at the airport, they said.

The doctors said they are a group of 5-6 who had been to Pangong Lake and added that the weather worsened when they were returning. They said they somehow managed to reach Leh hitching rides from locals as they had a flight to catch, but all flights have been cancelled, they noted.

Shivering in the cold amid heavy rain and snowfall, and with no proper food, the doctors put out video message requesting the state government to rescue them and bring them back to Bengaluru. The group of doctors also claimed that there are many other people from Karnataka who are stuck in Lakadh.
