MANDYA: A sudden fire broke out in the kitchen of the Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangapatna in the district around 8 pm on Thursday night.
The fire broke out in the temple kitchen where the laddu prasadam was being prepared. A huge amount of laddus prepared for distribution among devotees, vessels and other materials were destroyed by the incident.
Later, locals and the temple staff managed to douse the fire.
