KALABURAGI: A truck carrying liquor overturned after one of its tyres burst near Hasanapur village in Jewargi taluk on Monday morning.
The truck was transporting liquor from a warehouse in Kalaburagi city to be supplied to liquor stores in Jewargi town when the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned after a tyre burst. Due to this, a huge amount of liquor bottles were destroyed.
The driver and his assistant sustained minor injuries and were admitted to a local hospital for treatment. The incident occurred within Kalaburagi Town police station limits. The jurisdictional police visited the spot.
