BAGALKOT: The Jamakhandi police have registered an FIR after a man claiming to be a reporter with a private television channel allegedly tried to extort money from a woman BJP worker with a fake porn video.
Bandenawaz Sarakawas is accused of masking the woman BJP worker’s photo with a black band, then editing a blurred porn clip and blackmailing the woman claiming that the video was hers. He apparently told her that he was in possession of the video and asked her to meet him to sort out the issue by paying up money.
The FIR also states that Bandenawaz called the woman, who also works as a teacher, and told her to keep the money ready failing which he would make the video viral.
