Muzarai Dept to deliver prasadam at doorsteps after Sankranti; Queue system to be introduced

BENGALURU: The Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments (Muzrai) department is planning to launch a new initiative to deliver prasadam from major temples across the state to the doorsteps of devotees after Sankranti.

The department plans to tie up with private companies or the postal department to facilitate door-to-door delivery of prasadam. The cost of the prasadam and delivery charges will be fixed and devotees can pay online.

In another measure, a qeueue system has been implemented at Dharmasthala on the lines of the Tirupati temple. A spacious building has been constructed with seating arrangements for devotees, food facilities and childcare rooms, among other amenities.This is the first time such a system has been implemented in the state.

The state government is expected to introduce the queue system at these temples, and a decision is awaited.
