KARWAR: Following a case where a country bomb being made at house to hunt wild animals exploded at Kalaginakoppa village in Haliyal taluk,a bomb detection squad conducted a search operation and again found live bombs two country bombs near a lake close to the village.
A man named Vasu from the same village is the accused, and he was making country bombs at home. On Tuesday, a country bomb exploded, damaging several houses. Accused Vasu absconded along with his family.
On suspicion that live country bombs might still be present, a search operation was conducted by the bomb detection squad, during which two country bombs were found near the village lake. A case has been registered at Haliyal police station regarding the incident.
