Two died in bike collision

BENGALURU: Two people died in an accident involving two motorcycles around 11.40 pm on Tuesday night on the Maruti Nagar main road, under Kengeri traffic police station limits. The deceased have been identified as Narsappa (51) and Raksha (21).

The accused Chandan was going towards KE College on Maruti Nagar main road, speeding on his Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle, with Raksha riding pillion. Chandan collided with Narsappa’s bike which was coming on the same road. As a result, Narasappa suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.

Chandan and Raksha also sustained serious injuries in the incident, but Raksha died on the way to the hospital. At present, the injured Chandan is being treated in a private hospital.
According to Deputy Commissioner of police Sumana said, “The incident took place when Narasappa was taking a U-turn on the road on his bike. Raksha was riding pillion on Chandan’s bike. Chandan had been riding at high speed and recklessly. Narasappa died on the way to the hospital. The biker Chandan is suspected to have been drunk and has suffered minor injuries. The bike skidded for about 50 meters due to overspeeding. The deceased Narasappa was a lecturer by profession. Raksha was working as a teacher in a kindergarten”.
The police visited the accident site and a case was registered at Kengeri traffic station. A case has been registered against Chandan at the Kengeri Traffic police station and investigation is under way.
