A scuffle broke out when a car driver tried to attack a woman traffic SI near Ramanagara on Wednesday evening.

RAMANAGARA: A car driver allegedly attacked a woman traffic police sub-inspector and abused her in foul language during routine checking at Basavanapura in the taluk on Wednesday evening.

The car driver Zameer Pasha attacked the SI Saraswati for stopping his car and clamping it, and shouted at her in foul language. Some locals who had gathered there thrashed the car driver for attacking the police officer.

Zameer Pasha is a resident of Bengaluru. He was later arrested and a case registered against him at the Ramanagara Rural police station.
