CHIKKODI: A man, said to be a close aide of Kagwad Congress MLA Raju Kage, openly threatened media representatives in Bevanur village of Athani taluk of Belagavi district.
Santhosh Churamule recorded a video threatening the media against sullying the image of the MLA right in the presence of the lawmaker at the village fair.
In the video, Santhosh can be heard saying, “MLA Raju Kage is like God for us in Congress. He came here to participate in the Amosiddeshwar jatra of Bevanur village. The media should not spread malicious news about him or try to sully the MLA’s image”. Santhosh also threatened that he would break into the house of those who do so and assault them. “Chief minister’s family and our support is always with the MLA”, he said.
Surprisingly, MLA Raju Kage, who was standing in the background, did nothing to Santosh from issuing such threats.
