Suttur Mutt seer Shivaratri Deshikendra Swami clarified, “The health status of Siddeshwar Swami is stable, and there is no cause for concern. But he is not agreeing to further treatment. There was some problem with oxygen intake, but it is now alright. Devotees can watch him on live video”.
The doctor treating him said, “He seems better than previously and is responding to the treatment. His pulse, BP and oxygen saturation are normal. He was not taking food for the last 10-15 days. On Sunday, he had a little gruel (ganji) and he is recovering”.
Jnanayogi Ashram officials, in a press release on Sunday, said Siddeshwar Swami is fine and healthy. Basavalinga Swami of the Ashrama has asked devotees not to pay heed to rumours about the senior seer’s health.
