Hadagali GP president willgive talk to trainee IAS officers on rural development

BALLARI: Trainee IAS officers will get to know how to effectively implement works at the ground level from a gram panchayat president from Vijayanagara district at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, on August 30.

Nandihalli Mahendra, president of the Devagondanahalli Gram Panchayat in Hadagali taluk in the the district has been invited by the Academy for conducting the ‘Deconstruction Module on Rural Development: Revisiting Rural India’ where about 500 officers who have cleared the Civil Services Exam are likely to join the Academy as Officer Trainees.

Nandihalli Mahendra had initiated work on a fish-shaped lake in Gujanoor in Hadagali taluk under the NREGA scheme which made national news. He will also speak to the trainee IAS officers about the Central schemes like ‘Catch the Rain’, Jal Shakti mission, Amrit Sarovar and others.
