KALABURAGI: An accused in a dacoity case jumped to his death from the third floor of the district hospital here where the police ad taken him for a Covid-19 test on Saturday.
Munna alias Sheik Sohail, a resident of Hamalawadi Layout in the city, had been arrested in a dacoity case. Before producing him before a court, the police had taken him to the hospital for a Covid-19 test.
Munna, however, tried to escape from the police and jumped from the third floor of the hospital building and died. Senior police officers visited the spot. Further investigation in on.
