Auto rams into stationary bus, driver suffers serious injuries

BENGALURU: Bengaluru is becoming an accident zone as the number of accidents is increasing due to the negligence of drivers and overspeeding.

An autorickshaw rammed into a stationary bus from behind on the Ananda Rao flyover around 9 pm on Sunday, and the auto driver’s condition is critical. The autorickshaw (KA 05 AH 5794) came at high speed and crashed into a BMTC bus from behind. As a result, one leg of the auto driver was severed.

The bus (KA 51, AJ 6372) was going from Majestic to Chennasandra when it had stopped on the Ananda Rao flyover to issue tickets to passengers. At that time, the auto driver who came at high speed did not notice the stationary bus and collided with it. Due to the impact, the auto was completely damaged, and one leg of the auto driver was severed. The driver’s condition is critical.

Due to the impact of the accident, the driver was trapped inside the auto and was writhing in pain. Even though an ambulance came by, it did not stop. The driver Shahid Khan (28) was laid down on the road and later shifted in another auto. is the auto driver who met with the accident. Currently, Shahid Khan is being treated at Victoria Hospital.

There are allegations of negligence by the BMTC bus driver. Even though there was no bus stop on the flyover, the bus was stopped. As there were many passengers, it was stopped to issue tickets before the next stop arrived. Had the bus not been stopped, the accident would not have occurred.

Many BMTC bus conductors do the same thing. Even though there is no provision to stop the bus there, they stop the bus and issue tickets.

Lorry crashes into pvt bus

A lorry jumped the divider and crashed into a private bus on the highway, causing the bus to overturn. However, the bus passengers, who were more than 30 in number, escaped with minor injuries and there was no loss of life.

The private bus was coming from Sindhanur in Raichur to Bengaluru and the accident occurred around midnight at Chikkamanahalli in Challakere taluk.

Four of the injured passengers were admitted to a local hospital. It is suspected that the lorry driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. Despite the bus overturning due to the impact of the collision, a major disaster was averted.
