BENGALURU: The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Cabinet has approved 75 per cent loan for the proposed project to develop a Business Corridor in the city.
This is a much-awaited project and its development is estimated to cost Rs 27,000 crore. Earlier known as the Peripheral Ring Road project, it has received approval from the cabinet for 75 per cent loan of the total cost. The 74-km-long project will connect Hosur Road to Tumakuru Road.
The Peripheral Ring Road connects Tumakuru Road, Old Madras Road, Hosur Road, Doddaballapur Road, Whitefield, Bannerghatta Road, Henur Road, Sarjapur Road, Kanakapura and Mysuru Road.
The project features include:
- 16 flyovers
- 10 overpasses
- 12 underpasses
- Construction of bridges over seven water sources, including Chikkatoguru lake, Gunjur lake and Jarakabande lake.
the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is planning to develop six layouts on 5,000 acres of land around the Business Corridor.
