BENGALURU: Though it has been a month since schools and colleges started for the new academic year, textbooks have not reached the students in government institutions.
Students of government PU students and even residential schools have still not received textbooks. Due to this, students’ learning is bieing hampered. In the meantime, teaching in colleges is being done using old books.

The government had assured that all books would be given before colleges start. Former Primary Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa had also previously assured that textbooks would be available by the time colleges start.
But even after a month since colleges started, textbooks have still not arrived. According to the PU Board, only 60 per cent of the textbooks have been supplied so far. With no textbooks, it has become a struggle for students.
