DAVANAGEREL Seven schoolchildren and a driver were injured after a school bus collided head-on with a private bus between Tarehalli and Machikere in Jagalur taluk on Tuesday evening.
The injured children have been admitted to the Davangere district hospital. The school bus belongs to Shravani school at Pallaghatte village of Jagalur taluk. Most of the children were injured in the nose and mouth, while the driver Anil was seriously injured.
The accident occurred on Tuesday evening when the school bus was going to drop off children home after school hours. A case has been registered at the Bilichodu police station.
