BENGALURU: Jayanagar BJP MLA C K Ramamurthy’s close aide Somasekhar Reddy was stabbed stomach, chest, and back on the evening of June 24. The Tilak Nagar police have arrested five accused namely, Ravi, Balu, Shankar, Vishnu, and Karthik.
Somasekhar Reddy runs a drinking water plant in Jayanagar 9th Block and the attack took place there. A group of youths created a ruckus when they came to the water plant. An argument escalated and the miscreants stabbed him with a knife.
The group of five had come in an autorickshaw armed with lethal weapons. Locals immediately admitted the injured Somashekar Reddy to a private hospital where he is recovering. A complaint filed with the police said the group had come with the intention to kill Somashekar Reddy.
