Kempegowda banner found burnt in Channapatna village, locals vent ire

RAMANAGARA: Miscreants set fire late at night to a banner that had been put up on the occasion of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Jayanti at Devarahalli village in Channapatna taluk on Sunday night The villagers had installed a banner at the circle in Devarahalli village as part of Kempegowda Jayanti. Late at night, miscreants set fire to the banner.

Upon learning about it in the morning, enraged villagers held a protest and vented their anger. They shouted slogans against the miscreants and expressed outrage. The protesters demanded that such perverted-minded people should not be spared under any circumstances. The M.K. Doddi police visited the spot and conducted an inspection, and a case has been registered.

Meanwhile, protest and outrage by the Vokkaliga community continued on Monday to demand to arrest the miscreants at the earliest. They also alleged negligence on the part of the PDO and demanded the immediate suspend the official. They insisted that the protest will not be called off until the accused are arrested.
