BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have busted the fake marks card racket and arrested one person while they are on the lookout for another absconding accused.

Even if one hadn’t completed SSLC, PUC, or degree, they can get marks cards by paying Rs 30,000-50,000. The accused were taking money and delivering the fake marks cards to the doorsteps. The racke was being run from Koramangala and was operating under the name of an institution called Digital Education Mission.

The racket was being run by an accused named Raja Reddy. Initially, the accused would call claiming they could get admissions in several colleges. They would say they could provide seats in colleges like Florence, Kalaniketan, MVJ, and Tippu Sultan. They would claim students could write degree exams even without studying SSLC or PUC. Then, they would print fake marks cards and send them directly to the doorstep.

Raja Reddy would courier marks cards to doorsteps via DTDC. To carry out the crime, Raja Reddy had even opened an office in Koramangala. Raja Reddy was getting marks cards prepared through another accused named Aryan. The CCB officials received information about this and a suo motu case was registered and investigated.

After investigation, CCB police arrested accused Raja Reddy. During this, it came to light in the investigation that over 50 fake marks cards had been prepared. A search is currently ongoing for another accused, Aryan, who is absconding.
