CHIKKAMAGALURU: Three people have been arrested after they buried a man who had died after stepping on an electric wire set up to wild boars at in Donnekoranahalli village near Yagati in Kadur taluk. The deceased is Kariyappa (52).
Kariyappa did not return home and his family launched an intensive search. His movement was spotted on a CCTV camera installed near the farm. A few hours later, another person was seen moving along the same route. When police questioned that person, the case came to light. The hunters buried the body of Kariyappa without informing anyone.
The Yagati police have arrested Chandrappa, Kenchappa, and Yadukumar In connection with the case. The buried body was exhumed on Monday in the presence of the Tarikere assistant commissioner amid tight security. A case has been registered at Yagati police station.
