BENGALURU: A gang of miscreants assaulted a youth over a love affair gone wrong, near Wilson Garden in the city on May 22. The victim Arfaan was brutally assaulted by a gang of 7-8 people.
A youth named Manju was in love with a young woman. But recently, that young woman left Manju and was hanging out with Arfaan.
Upon learning this, Manju and his gang entered the scene while Arfaan and the young woman were sitting in a car. Suddenly, they dragged Arfaan out of the car and thrashed him brutally. Then they bundled him into the same car, took him to a deserted area, assaulted him, warned him, and let him go.
As the assault video went viral, police conducted an inquiry and registered a case. Wilson Garden police have currently taken one person into custody and are interrogating him. They are also on the lookout for the others accused.
