BENGALURU: The family members and fans of Rebel Star Ambareesh’s celebrated his 74th birth anniversary on Friday. The family members performed puja at Ambareesh’s samadhi at Kanteerava Studio.
Sumalatha Ambareesh and son Abhishek Ambareesh performed puja at the Rebel’s samadhi, paid floral tributes, and then celebrated his birthday by offering his favorite non-vegetarian dishes. They also distributed sweets. Ambi’s fans arrived and visited the memorial.
Speaking on the occasion Sumalatha Ambareesh said, “Every year, we couldn’t get access to him on his birthday. He used to celebrate his birthday with fans. No matter how much he scolded them, fans considered it a blessing. He wasn’t fond of gifts, he found joy in giving.I had gifted him a chain pendant for his 60th birthday. He really liked cars, watches, and sunglasses”.
On the ongoing political developments in the state, Sumalatha said, “The current political developments in the state are an internal matter of the respective parties. Whoever becomes CM, it is the wish of all of us that they think about solving people’s problems. If it rains once in Bengaluru, several problems arise. There are hardships; they should think towards resolving these.
On lack of leadership in the film industry, she said, “There is definitely a lack of leadership in the film industry. I keep saying, elect capable leaders, let there be heads for the artists’ association. Let capable people come to that position”.
Speaking about her grandson, Sumalatha said, “Ambi loved children, he would have taken great care of his grandson. It is a regret that he is not here at this time”.
