BENGALURU: One worker died and four others sustained serious injuries after a fire broke out at a hotel at at Malagala in Nagarabhavi early on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Rajkumar (45)
The staff of Durga Sri Grand Hotel were staying on the upper floor and five of them got trapped inside when the fire broke out. The fire spread quickly and reached the upper floor where the five staff members were staying.

Firefighters and local police rushed to the spot and put out the fire. Four of the injured staffers were admitted to GM Hospital in Nagarabhavi. Jaibheem, Satish and Shivanand have been admitted to ICU while Bipin Shah is being treated in the general ward.
The fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Further investigation is under way.

In another incident, a fire broke out at a Honda showroom near Tin Factory in KR Pura and about 20 two-wheelers were gutted in the fire. Firefighters managed extinguished the blaze and the loss was yet to be estimated.
