CHAMARAJANAGAR: Four people of a family died after the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a harvester at Jinakanahalli in Kollegal taluk today. The family members were returning home after buying new clothes for Sankranti festival.
The deceased are Santosh (32), his wife Sowmya (27) and children Nityasakshi (4) and Abhi (9). All were from Palya village in Kollegal taluk. While the couple and the daughter died on the spot, the son was shifted to CIMS hospital in Chamarajanagar where he succumbed to injuries.
The Kollegal Rural police have registered a case.
