BIDAR: A couple, who were going for Tuljapur for darshan of Bhavani Mata died on the spot after their car and a transport bus collided near Sastapur Bangla in Basavakalyan taluk of Bidar district on Saturday.
The couple, 58-year-old Shivakumar Sangayya, 50-year-old wife Sangamane Shivakumar, were from Narayankhed taluk in neighbouring Telangana. They were travelling through Bidar by car to Tuljapur Bhavani Mata darshan in Maharashtra.
In the accident, the couple, who were sitting in front of the car died while three other have sustained serious injuries and are being treated in local hospital. The Basavakalyan Town police visited spot and a case has been registered in connection with the accident.
