VIJAYAPURA: A few youths indulged in fisticuffs during the Independence Day celebration at the Dr B R Ambedkar district stadium here on Thursday over a trivial issue. The incident occurred even as district in-charge minister M B Patil was delivering his address.
The youths were part of the audience and when the fight broke out, the minister stopped his speech. Patil then directed the police superintendent to look into the fracas.
Confusion prevailed at stadium for some time due to the incident. The police took two of the youths into custody.
