Yediyurappa aide Kapu Siddalingaswamy dead

Siddalingaswamy had been undergoing treatment for some time now.

MYSURU: BJP leader and a close aide of former chief minister B S Yediyurappa, Kapu Siddalingaswamy, died here on Thursday morning. He had been ailing for some time and had been hospitalised. However, he did not respond to treatment.

Siddalingaswamy had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly polls from Varuna constituency in 2014 against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. When Yediyurappa was CM, Siddalingaswamy was made chairman of the KSTDC.

Recently, Yediyurappa and V Somanna had visited Siddalingaswamy at the Apollo Hospital in the city. His last rites will be performed at his native village later today.
