BAGALKOTE: Officials of the Jamakhandi City Municipal Council allegedly forced women pourakarmikas to clean the roads until midnight on Friday night.
The women pourakarmikas had the day off on Friday for Pourakarmika Day. But they were asked to sweep the city’s major streets and roads and remove garbage in the night by officials.
The action of the Jamkhandi Municipal Council has outraged the people of Bagalkot.
