CHIKKODI: In a tragic incident, the bodies of a woman and her three children were found in a lake at Billur village near Jath in Maharashtra’s Sangli district on Sunday.
The incident came to light two days after the alleged suicide. The deceased have been identified as Sunitha Tukaram Mali and her daughters Amritha, Ankitha and Aishwarya.
Sunitha Tukaram hailed from Kohalli village in Athani taluk of Belgaum district. It is said that she and her three school-going children, reportedly left home on Sunday, but did not return. Following a search, their bodies were found in the village lake.
A case has been registered at Jath police station, Maharashtra.
