Bear caught in temple premises in Koppal district, villagers relieved

Forest officials trapped a bear in Koppala on Monday

KOPPAL: Forest officials successfully caught a three-to-four-year-old bear near Sanganala in Kushtagi taluk after an operation on Monday.

It is said that the bear was caught inside the Hanuman temple near Sanganala when it was attempting to lick oil from a lamp.

Forest Department officials had placed a cage on the temple premises, and food items were placed to lure the animal.

Villagers in Sanginala have heaved a sigh of relief with the bear being finally trapped.
