BENGALURU: A woman has filed a cheating case against cricketer K C Cariappa alleging that she has been cheated. She alleged in a complaint that she is the ex-girl friend of Cariappa and lodged at R T Nagar police station that he had physical relations with her saying that he would get married to her.
As per the complaint, she claimed that that she met Cariappa met on Instagram and they both belonged to the same community and the same town. Initially, he talked about having a girlfriend. Then they continued their relationship as friends. She even introduced him to her family, she claimed.
The woman accused Cariappa saying, “He used me physically, making me believe that he liked me more than his first lover. So I was pregnant. He told me to abort, but I did not agree to that. He said there is an IPL season coming up and convinced me to abort by promising that to get married after the season”, she claimed.
“When I visited his house once to meet his family members, he forcefully gave me a pill in the car. I started bleeding within a week of taking the pill. When I asked about it with the doctor, I was told that nothing can be done with one pill”, she claimed.
She made a serious accusation that Cariappa had told her to just forget the past, as it was a bad dream, and he would be responsible. “I got a call from his ex-girlfriend. Then she told me about cheating. So I got the point. He also accused me of taking drugs”, she said.
“After going to RR Nagar rehabilitation camp, he tried to reject me. So I said that I will file a case. Eventually, I lodged a complaint at Bagalagunte police station. After that, he said, Don’t hurry; he will get married. He brought his parents and held talks about marriage. His parents demanded that our family should do the marriage, and they agreed and went ahead with the marriage arrangements”, she said.
“He used to dominate me in the matter of modeling. He took me to two tournaments held in different states by introducing me as Mrs Cariappa. I went to his house on December 22. Then he said, he was sad that he was unsold in the IPL. He threatened me not to torture him. I went home but did not get a response. So I bought a knife at an instamart store to cut my hand”. She added that she reported it to the police and lodged a complaint.
Cariappa also filed a complaint at the Bagalagunte police station against her that she was threatening him.
“K C Cariappa also takes weed and consumes drugs at home. I drink beer at parties, but I don’t take drugs. I am ready for medical tests. I was married to a Muslim man, but I got divorced. Because they forced me to convert to their community, I refused. My first marriage was legally divorced. He said, he will take care of it”, she claimed.
“Cariappa has huge loans, I have paid Rs 2 lakhs. They attacked an there is evidence for that”, she alleged against Cariappa.
Later, Cariappa released a video of his version clarifying the issue and said his girlfriend made unnecessary accusations against him.
Denying her version, Cariappa said, “I have filed a complaint about this two days ago alleging threatening and torturing me. She is disturbing my cricket career. She also quarrelled at my home, when I was not present. She claimed that she had lodged an FIR in return. She used to threaten to kill herself and stab herself if I did not marry her”.
“Our relationship started just one and a half years back. She herself sent a friend request on social media. Then our friendship turned into love. I did not know that it was her first marriage. She married a Muslim and got divorced. Moreover, a case has been registered at the Amrutahalli police station accusing the boy of her town of torturing him”.
“The woman is addicted to different drugs. For the same reason, I said no to this relationship because it would affect my career. She is torturing me even after our families held a talk about problems in our relationship”, Cariappa clarified
