DHARWARD: A woman died of shock after hearing about her son’s death at Tejaswini Nagar in Dharwad on Wednesday.
Mehboob Saab Nadaf (47) of Tejaswininagar had been suffering from stomach pain. Unable to bear it, he died by suicide by lying on the railway track near Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. In the evening, Railway Police conducted a post-mortem examination and handed over the body to family members.
When relatives took the household items home for the funeral, the mother came to know about her son’s death. Shocked by this, Mugutabi Nadaf (68) also died. First, the relatives performed the son’s last rites, and late at night they also performed the mother’s last rites. Relatives who heard the deaths were also shocked.
