BENGALURU: A case that was thought to be an unnatural death has turned out to be that of murder, investigation by the Whitefield police has revealed the truth of a murder. The police nabbed the accused in a single day.
A man’s body was found in an under-construction building in ACS Layout and the deceased was identified as Basha (58) was discovered. Locals had informed the police after noticing the body and the Whitefield police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
Except for an injury on the head, there were no other wounds on the body. Whitefield police made inquiries in the neighborhood and found out that a man named Sundar had gone missing from the area after the incident. The police then set out to trace him. When he was taken into custody and questioned, the truth of the murder came out.
Basha and Sundar were working at the same place. During a party at night, an altercation broke out between the two. During this, there was a fight between Basha and Sundar when the latter hit Basha on the head with a reaper strip. After he died, Sundar left the body in an under-construction room and fled. Currently, Whitefield police have arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
Whitefield DCP Saidulu Adavath said, “The accused Sundar and the victim Basha consumed liquor at night and after they had an argument, Sundar hit Basha with a wooden plank on the head, resulting in his death. There were no external injury marks and hence a case of unnatural death was registered. We have now arrested the accused for murder”.
