Ramanagara MLA Iqbal Hussain undergoes angiogram at Bengaluru hospital

BENGALURU: Ramanagara MLA Iqbal Hussain has been admitted to Vydehi Hospital in the city for a routine checkup after fluctuation in his health.

An angiogram test was done and the report was normal. Treatment was under way, but he had not suffered a heart attack, said doctors. His is likely to be discharged on Monday. Chief Minister D K Shivakumar visited Vydehi Hospital to inquire about Iqbal Hussain’s health. Former Speaker Ramesh Kumar also accompanied the CM.

Dr Srinivas, who is treating Iqbal Hussain, said, “Ramanagara MLA had come complaining of chest pain. He came with chest pain for the last two days. When an angiogram was done and blocks were detected. It is not a heart attack, the blood vessels are blocked.

“We have done an angiogram and we are planning surgery next. A bypass surgery needs to be done next. After that he will take treatment for 10 days”.
