VIJAYAPURA: In an inhumane incident in Vijayapura, which has come to light late, two men were stripped to their underwear, tied up with ropes and tortured. A video of the inhumane act has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place in Guttaragi tanda in Sindagi taluk and it is alleged that the act was committed by one Shankaralinga Naik. The hands and legs of the two men were tied with ropes and they were assaulted. They were stripped to just their underwear and harassed. It is alleged that they were subjected to such inhumane torture because they did not give money.
Further, Shankaralinga Naik is accused of abusing the police as well as the District Superintendent of Police in foul language. Along with that, he also called several senior officers of the state police department and abused those who did not answer the calls and those whose phones were switched off. Shankaralinga was heard saying, “I will get one police officer removed. I will deal with the police officers myself”.
Along with this, a video of Shankaralinga posing while holding a revolver in his hand has also gone viral.
