TUMAKURU: Two men disguised as Naga sadhus snatched a gold ring from the finger of the owner of a photography studio in filmy style in the district.
The two fake Naga sadhus cheated the owner of a photo studio on MG Road and stole the ring from the owner’s finger.
The owner was busy in hosting the two fake saints, who came claiming to be Naga sadhus, giving them fruit and water. After that, the fake sadhus gave Rudrakshi in the owner’s hand and told him to chant mantras with his eyes closed.
The fake sadhu slowly snatched the ring from the owner’s finger by folding his hands firmly and decamped after telling him to meditate for two more minutes. When the studio owner opened the eyes, he found that gold finger ring was missing.
A case has been registered in this regard at the city police station.
