Biker assaults KSRTC staff for overtaking his vehicle in Mysuru, arrested

MYSURU: A two-wheeler rider allegedly assaulted and abused a KSRTC bus driver and conductor after blocking the bus in the middle of the road road at Five Lights Circle on the Bengaluru-Mysuru road in the city. A video of the road rage incident, captured on camera, has gone viral.

The biker was enraged that the KSRTC bus tried to overtake the vehicle. He came ahead of the bus and stopped his two-wheeler in the middle of the road claiming that the bus driver had touched his two-wheeler and forced the driver out of the bus. He suddenly barged into the bus and tried to pull the driver out of his seat, and assaulted him. The biker also thrashed the conductor when he tried to intervene.

The bus was plying between Kanakapura and Mysuru and the driver hails from Malavalli. Later, he was rescued by the local police. The Mysuru city police commissioner later tweeted that the accused Shahrukuh has been arrested.

In the viral video of road rage, the rider barged into the bus and pulled the driver out with his uniform as he began to assault him and used abusive language. It has been reported that the bus allegedly touched the accused’s vehicle in an attempt to overtake him, which led to the scuffle between them.

A case has been filed at Lashkar police station.
