Truck catches fire after tyre bursts, driver sustains burns

MADIKERI: A truck carrying paper bundles caught fire after one of its tyres burst near the forest office close to Sampaje in Kodagu district on Tuesday. Luckily, there was no loss of life in the incident.

The truck was carrying paper bundles from Mysuru to Mangaluru and was completely charred in the fire. The truck driver, who sustained burn injuries, was shifted to a hospital in Sullia for treatment.
