Three arrested, ganja worth Rs 1.50 crore seized in separate cases

BIDAR: The police have arrested three ganja peddlers in separate cases and seized 150 kg of ganja worth about Rs 1.50 crore at the Ekamba checkpost in Aurad taluk and in Humnabad on Monday.

The police arrested two accused after they found 130 kg ganja in a secret compartment of a Mahindra Bolero SUV, which was being smuggled illegally from Telangana to Maharashtra. A case was registered at Aurad police station.

 

In the other case, the police seized 20 kg of ganja in Humnabad town while it was being transported illegally by bus from Telangana. The police arrested the accused, and a case has been registered at the Humnabad police station. Further investigation is under way.

The Bidar police have seized ganja worth a total of Rs 2.55 crore in the last three days and the massive operation has grabbed some attention in the state.
