CHIKKAMAGALURU: A few candidates from Ballari were denied permission to write the Teacher Eligibility Test at the exam centre at Basavahalli School here on Sunday due to faulty hall tickets.
The Teacher Eligibility Test is being conducted at several centres in the district. Some candidates missed the exam due to a technical fault as they had received faulty hall tickets with wrong names of the exam centres.
According to the aspirants, the online application had showed separate exam centres due to a technical glitch. However, the staff of the exam centre denied their request write the test. Candidates who had come from Ballari were deprived of an opportunity to write the exam and had to return home.

Avinash, a teacher aspirant, claimed, “We do not know where to go now. We had come all the way from Ballari. We have selected one centre initially, but that does not exist. When we came here, the authorities at the exam centre did not allow us to write the exam. This whole thing was a technical issue. The DDPI came to the exam centre, but did not take any action. We came here with a lot of expectations, but there is no one to guide us. It is a question of our future too”.
