MANGALURU: A couple died after a lorry collided with their two-wheeler at Kallapu near Thokottu on Thursday. The deceased have been identified as Gangadhar (48) and Netravati (45).
The couple, along with their daughter Moksha and Nethravathi’s nephew Jnanesh, were riding a scooter when a lorry hit them. Locals admitted them to a hospital, but the couple succumbed to their injuries. Moksha and Jnanesh are undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the city.
A case has been registered at Ullal police station. The police have taken lorry driver Haneef into custody.
