CHITRADURGA: A speed breaker which has come up overnight on National Highway-4 near the Kanive Anjaneya temple has led to several mishaps with people sustaining injuries. An autorichshaw even overturned as the driver failed to notice the speed breaker.
In a video that is doing the rounds on social media, an unidentified person, holding a stick with a cloth tied to one end and waving it, can be seen trying to warn vehicle drivers about the speed breaker. While some vehicles experienced a sudden bump, one autorickshaw overturned, leaving three people injured. They were admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
Locals have vented their anger at the authorities concerned for suddenly putting up an unscientific speed breaker on the highway which is leading to injuries among road users.
