HAVERI: An incident near Vaibhavalakshmi Layout and Chhatra Road in Badami town, where two unidentified people tried to lure children by offering chocolates and chips has caused concern. Of late, cases of child kidnapping have been increasing.
In CCTV footage, two unidentified people can be seen trying to get children to talk and offered them chocolates and chips. Scared by this, the children immediately ran home. The video has gone viral and has increased anxiety among local residents.
Locals have expressed concern about children’s safety. Parents have been urged to warn their children not to talk to strangers and not to accept any food, chocolate, or gifts from them. Citizens have also demanded that the police conduct a proper investigation into the incident and take necessary action.
