CHITRADURGA: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday held a meeting with several religious leaders of backward and Dalit maths at the Shiva Sharana Madara Chennaiah Gurupeetha Math here on Tuesday.
Bhagwat, who arrived here on Monday, met Basavamurthy Madara Chennaiah and stayed overnight at the math. Tuesday’s meeting with the heads of several Dalit and Backward Caste maths, was presided over by Basavamurthy Madara Chennaiah.
More than 20 religious leaders including Immadi Siddarameshwara of Bhovi Math, Shantaveera Sri of Kunchitiga Math, Purushotthamananda of Bhagiratha Math, Hadapad Annappa, Renukananda of Idiga Math, Yadavananda of Sri Krishna Yadava Math, Kumbara Gundaiah, Basava Nagideva of Chalavadi Math, Haralaiah and Sevalal.
Tight security arrangements were made at the math in view of the meeting. The RSS chief left for Bengaluru after the meeting.
