CHIKKAMAGALUR: A car caught fire amid pouring rain near the Jenkal temple in Mudigere taluk here around 3 am on Tuesday. Luckily, the occupants of the car got off when they noticed the fire.
The car, heading to Bengaluru from Mangaluru, was passing through the Charmadi Ghat when the incident occurred. The four occupants of the car immediately got off the vehicle when they spotted the fire.
The Banakal police visited the spot.
