The district administration has prohibited public entry to spots such as Hogenakkal, Bharachukki Falls, Wesley Bridge and other places in view of the rising water level in the Cauvery river.

However, tourists are taking forest paths in the Boodagattadoddi forest area in Kollegal taluk to reach Bharachukki Falls. They are even reaching the bottom of the waterfall unmindful of dangers. The authorities concerned should act immediately before there is any loss of life due to such reckless acts.
