KALABURAGI: A police constable ended his life by shooting himself with a .303 rifle at the tahsildar’s office in Chittapur on Wednesday night.
The constable, Mallikarjun (34), was part of the election flying squad and was on duty near the tahsildar’s office on Wednesday. However, the reason for him committing suicide is not known yet.
Mallikarjun was a resident of Shahbad Maddi in Chittapur taluk. A case has been registered at the Chittapur police station.
