Congress alleges Babaleshwar BJP candidate calling up people, threatening them to vote for him

VIJAYAPURA: The Congress has alleged that the BJP candidate from Babaleshwar, Vijugouda Patil, has been making calls to people and threatening to vote for him.

District Congress president Raju Alagur also said that Vijugouda’s son Samarth fired two shots in the air from a firearm after the BJP announced a ticket for his father. The party also released videos of Samarth firing from a weapon.

The Congress released videos of Vijugouda’s son Samarth using firearms.

Questioning the BJP, Raju Alagur said the party has nominated goondas as candidates and demanded answers from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. “Our constituency should not become like Bihar and no one should vote for such goonda candidates”, he charged.
