BENGALURU: Traffic policemen filled potholes in order to prevent two-wheelers from skidding or meeting with accidents near Devanga Hostel traffic signal, a busy junction prone to traffic congestion. Heavy rainfall over the past two days has worsened the condition of the city’s roads.

A lot of potholes that could be seen near the Devanga signal, which is close to the BBMP headquarters. That too, due to the rains of the last two days, the number of potholes increased. Traffic was very slow due to potholes near this signal.

Fed up with the situation, the traffic police stepped in and filled the potholes using cement mixture and M-sand with public assistance and closed some dangerous potholes temporarily. The BBMP headquarters road was also completely damaged due to incessant rainfall.

Similar initiatives were taken at other locations, including Doddanekundi and Billekahalli. Citizens lauded the traffic police for their efforts while decrying the BBMP’s inaction.
